I just rewatched Insights Chats 05 with Louisa Robinson on “How to Internally Sell Your Research,” and here are my random notes:
- Everyone should work in a service job at some point to truly understand the customer.
- Whether they are external or internal clients, you still need to solve a problem for them.
- Know your audience and how to present data/information to them effectively.
- It's hard to argue with video content featuring an ideal client—use it in your presentations.
- Sometimes, having no budget makes you more creative.
- Identify your customer champions within the organisation and use them to promote insights across the company.
- Tie actionable insights to financials, showing how much you could potentially save or earn.
- There's nothing more powerful than a good customer story.
- Ensure insights have a seat at the table.
- Having a unified KPI across the whole organisation helps everyone work in the same direction.
- Think about how you can make your stakeholder's job easier. 🚶🏼
