I just rewatched Insight Chats episode with Artiom on "Building High-Performance Insight Teams" and here are my random notes:
- Don't force people to be jack of all trades if they don't want it.
- Not everyone on the team wants to or needs to speak with the clients.
- Automation is key in insights.
- An insights professional needs to combine multiple data sources to create unique value.
- Not the strongest or the fastest will survive, but the ones most adaptable.
- As an insights leader, you always need to be on the lookout for new uprising trends which you can implement.
- You are partly blind if you use just one data source.
- Don't use pie charts, use bar charts!
- Read more books about insights and how to do it in a scientifically proven way.
- There is nothing better than a good brief.
- Questions are key as the data is going to show you only what we asked.
- Encourage your team to take public speaking opportunities. πΆπΌ
