I just rewatched Insight Chats episode with Will Goodhand on "10 Hard Truths of the Industry" and here are my random notes:
- Don't forget to include your judgment and sometimes trust it more than the research model.
- Challenge not only the client brief but also your beliefs.
- We are people working with people, so don't forget about human input in the AI era.
- Automation of research is great, but be modular and flexible to your client's needs and wishes.
- Don't forget to diversify.
- You don't always end up working with your close contacts, but with casual acquaintances.
- Decision-makers should be able to make decisions without timesheets.
- In your actions, try to think about how to make them future-proof.
- Don't force change if you don't need it.
- We need to be comfortable with uncertainty.
- When research is done right, it can have a transformative impact on the business and improve people's lives.
- Insights people need to be more confident. πΆπΌ
